Carlos Glascox made the following comments about Wayne:

Wayne and I used to speak regularly and even met a few times for lunch when I worked in the Baytown area. I have been meaning to call him but seem to always think about it late at night. His wife Kay, who survived cancer once, was an inspiration to my wife when she was diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, Kay's cancer returned and she died about 10 or so years ago. Now, they are together again.
Wayne served with the Baytown Police Department for 32 years. He was appointed chief in 1982 and retired in 1992.
