Kim McColly, 56, is now at home in the arms of her loving Savior. She left this world at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at St. Joseph Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born the daughter of Robert and Donna (Hanley) Hall on July 16, 1957.

Kim was 1975 graduate of Haworth High School and went on to study criminal justice at Ivy Tech and Indiana University Kokomo, earning an associate degree. She also was a 1986 graduate of Plainfield Police Academy. She was a police officer with Merrillville Police Department from 1989 to 2000, and the Kokomo Police Department for five years. Kim had been deputy clerk at the Howard County Clerk’s Office for the last 12 years.

Kim loved her three boys, and especially loved playing with her grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing with her grandpa, Joe, drawing, and crocheting. She supported the troops overseas by being actively involved with the mothers of the soldiers by making blankets and sending care packages. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.

She is survived by her mother, Donna M. Hall; sons, Jason R. (Stephanie) McColly, Phillip M. McColly and Donald F. McColly; granddaughter, Hailee McColly; grandson, Zach McColly; aunt, Mona L. (David) Myers; and uncle, David L. Riley.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Hall; and grandparents, Joe and Shorty Hanley.
